-CHALLENGE UPDATE: We have our winners! I wish we could pick multiple winners in each division, because there were so many awesome changes! This came down to the point system to pick the official winners. We are so excited for all of the changes you all made, and we hope that these changes to your diet are something you can stick with.

From Kendl – I’d like to encourage everyone to keep tracking and maintaining good habits. This doesn’t have to be the end. Keep the momentum going. Feel free to ask me any questions any time about it!

For the women, Jamie Riley is our winner!
I like eating all the food. I did the paleo challenge last year and in 6 weeks I got a little smaller than I am now, but then winter and the holidays happened and I forgot everything I had learned. I was very skeptical about counting macros and trying to learn another tracking system. However, it wasn’t bad at all. I loved that I could still eat everything I was eating before as long as I maintained my macro balance. I even noticed myself picking out healthier foods knowing if I did that I could have a treat later and it was okay and wouldn’t ruin my progress. It took a little longer to see changes but the changes came. I’ve had steady success with it. I’m curious, as the challenge has ended, how many participants are still counting macros? I know I am. I’m obsessed with it now. I hit both my box goals which I thought would never happen. It took me years to get a 95# clean, but I ended this challenge at 125# which for me is HUGE. I love coming in and actually feeling like I’m getting better at the movements. Shout out to Kendl for listening to all my concerns and encouraging me to be patient.

For the men, Trevor Lott is our winner!
I would like to bear my testimony that I know this diet is true and I love my mom and dad. My experience with this challenge has been great. However, I would like to point out that it wasn’t smooth sailing for the two months. Some of you know I sprained my ankle really bad playing basketball. I couldn’t squat on it for about 3 weeks, let alone push myself in the gym. The day after I sprained it I had two full weeks away from my house traveling. I went on vacation to see Brenda’s family and then to California for work. I take pictures so I’m constantly on the move. At this point in the challenge it wasn’t easy. I could have let the diet and training go out the window. But I was prepared with protein bars and made smart choices when I had no choice but to go to a restaurant. I trained in a hotel gym each morning at 5 am. My point in sharing this isn’t to tell you how cool I am but to let you know that if you want change in your appearance it’s full of bumps and it’s easy to make excuses. Trust me, I wanted to eat a packet of el fudge and watch Netflix when I could barely walk. I wanted to have ice cream after my meals. It has been really fun to see everyone’s progress. I wanna give a shout out to the coaches for putting the challenge together and making everyone stronger.
