How long have you been doing CrossFit and how did you find out about it?
3 years. I had a friend tell me about it in Alabama, so I knew as soon as I got back to Utah I was going to find a way to join a gym. She put me through a workout of 5 rounds of 5 wall walks, 10 T2B, 15 box jumps. I’ve never felt so destroyed. I couldn’t understand how anyone could get their feet to touch the bar in T2B. Changed my life forever.
Tell us about a typical day in the life of Kendl!
Oh man, well it’s been changing a lot lately, but I’d say wake up, hang with Pyper for cartoons, eat lots of eggs, lift heavy things, cry during metcons and while watching top gear, the British one of course. You know typical things.
If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?
I would have to say flying, I’m a peacock! Got to stretch my wings! Wait peacocks don’t fly do they…
If you were stuck on an island and could have any 3 things, what would they be?
Chips and salsa, and my paddle board….all Paleo of course…;)
What is your favorite thing to do outside of the gym?
I love to be outside, nature does something for the soul you can’t find anywhere else. #thoughtfulpose
Tell us about one of your favorite moments
I love watching Pyper at the gym. She observes everyone and their fighting spirit. It’s cool to see her trying movements and learning new things. I love watching how everyone has adopted her as the gym mascot and is so willing to take her along on runs, etc. What a cool community/family we have!
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A firefighter!! What are the odds…
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
I made a tiny human, scared the $&@# out of me.
What’s your favorite movement in CrossFit?
HSPU!!
What’s your go-to restaurant when you don’t want to cook?
Mo’Betta! Love that place!
